    Job Description

    We’re looking for a frontend engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our software engineering team. The role is full-time and remote-based in Europe. 

    As a front end engineer at Kaiterra, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of customer facing products such as the Kaiterra dashboard and other web applications that are data driven. You will be expected to have a deep understanding of the products you’ll be working on in order to provide the best user experience, improve development efficiency, and ensure future scalability.

    Together with the rest of the software team, you will report directly to the CEO, and your work will be facilitated by a product owner and project manager. You will also be working closely with backend developers, UI/UX designers, or graphic designers to ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Development, maintenance, and update of Kaiterra’s existing web applications including the Kaiterra Dashboard, as well as any new software applications in the future
    • Ensuring high quality visual standards, delivering functional and appealing products, and maintaining brand consistency;
    • Ensuring smooth user experience across all platforms and the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
    • Optimizing application for maximum speed and scalability as projects grow 
    • Understanding the PRD and the business goal for the application, feature, or functionality
    • Participating in the new feature design process to help with decision making from a technical perspective
    • Routinely testing software applications for ease of use, speed and other quality factors
    • Fixing any issues or bugs that may arise
    • Supporting other ad hoc projects aligned with the overall goals of the engineering team

    About Our Stack:

    Skills and Requirements:

    • 3+ years of front-end development experience
    • Strong track record of turning UI/UX design into functional, scalable, pixel-perfect applications
    • Experience in VueJS and being comfortable with VueJS 3 framework
    • Technical expertise in languages, technologies, and concepts for the following: Sass / CSS3, HTML5, Yarn, REST API, Responsive Design
    • Extensive knowledge of performance testing and front-end optimization principles and techniques
    • Ability to work as part of a team in an agile environment

    Nice-to-have Skills:

    • Comfortable with SVG
    • Familiar with key chart libraries (chart.js, chartist.js, highcharts, etc …)
    • Familiar with TypeScript or interested in learning it
